Announcing Call for Entries! The MSU Fine Art and Graphic Design Competition website is now open and accepting entries. Deadline for online submissions is 2014 January, 17 midnight. Open your account now and begin submitting. Eligible student works are those created by students enrolled in MSU art courses from Spring 2013 until the closing deadline. Last year 100 works were accepted and over $2000 in purchase awards and prize money was awarded.
Students who need to make digital copies of their work for the online submission process can use the Copy Studio in Briscoe Hall. Please contact Robert Ringrring@caad.msstate.edu for an appointment to use the equipment.
Please see attachments for rules and eligibility and entry fees. Accepted works will be announced Feburary 3, 2014. Accepted works must be professionally presented and ready to hang. Delivery dates and exhibition opening for the March 2014 exhibition to be announced.
How to submit work now online to the 42nd Annual MSU Student Competitive Exhibition.
Please go to the following address: https://studentshow.submittable.com/submit
You'll see a "Fine Art" Section and a "Graphic Design" Section.
If this is your first time on the https://studentshow.submittable.com/submit you can click "Submit" on either section. Please read the Guidelines and then enter your user account information. This login information will be how you access your submission(s) and make further submissions in either area. Once logged in, you will see the "Fine Art" section and a "Graphic Design" section. Select which section you are going to enter and click "Submit" If you haven't read the "Guidelines" do so now and note the entry fees.
WIth each entry, you'll have to enter:
-9-digit MSU ID number
-your classification
-your concentration
-the title of your work
-the category it belongs in.
-select and upload an image of the work you are submitting
-Once done, be sure to click the "SUBMIT" button.
You can continue to submit more work or you can log off of the website. You may submit work to the website until the date noted. Please make sure you have your work in the right category before the end of this date. After the submission is closed, the judges make their selections and you'll be notified by email through thehttps://studentshow.submittable.com/submit website whether or not your piece(s) were accepted into the show.
